Santa Insurance with Bill Peel

Clarifications added by Larry 10-02-19

Regarding renting sleighs and chairs. The USLI policy is not designed for a rental company of any type, we do have companies that do that however and just placed coverage on a couple of them as recently as last week.

RE: Bass Pro limits. This policy is designed for the Santa that works multiple jobs, Bass Pro since they are a very high profile company has mandated these limits, but they also offer an outlet for it. We do have other carriers that can offer different limits of insurance up to 10,000,000 or even 25,000,000 depending on the type of business it is.

A 1,000,000/3,000,000 or 2,000,000/4,000,000 limit is available from our other carriers .

RE: the comment about that dog that was being abused by someone per Santa Rick,

Abuse and molestation coverage would be against a person. All the policy forms are directed people not animal cruelty.
Once the claim was filed and the attorney contacted the insurance company, they would have let them know that a dog is not covered under the form.
The Santa was working for the photographer, and had no contact with the animal based on what I was told, therefore he is not party to the claim.
The only reason it was so well-publicized was the fact that Santa is the second most widely recognized individual in the world. Ergo, a story for the news.
Since there was no claims expense processed, and the suit was dropped, there was no case. If the attorney felt like they had a case, they would have gone after settlement. Also if the company had defended it as a suit, they would have incurred claims expense that would have been told to me when I asked about it on the Kaercher policy. Therefore, I feel that the claim was turned down.

Thank you, Ed. After the Kaercher presentation, we now have clarification and answers from Allen Kaercher and Jacqui Gibson on both the liability policy and the Abuse/Molestation coverage is active on the Kaercher policies, despite Larry and Bill’s alleged lack of coverage, and that policy includes defense for the insured (as long as that insured is not found to be criminally liable). Additionally, there is no group aggregate limit to the IBRBS policy. Each member is individually covered under the association policy.
